when should you start thinking about message queues

hey everyone, im trying to get a handle on when introducing a message queue like RabbitMQ or Kafka actually makes sense for an application. weve got a service thats starting to see more load, and im wondering if decoupling parts of it with a queue would simplify things or just add complexity. any thoughts on what signals or metrics indicate its time to seriously consider a message queue?
