caching, like, when does it get too complicated for its own good

hey everyone, been thinking a lot about caching lately. We're using it in a few places to speed things up, and it definitely helps with performance. But sometimes, especially when dealing with cache invalidation or keeping data consistent across different caches, it feels like we're adding a lot of complexity for diminishing returns. What are your thoughts? When have you found caching to be a clear win, and when did it start feeling like a burden? Are there specific patterns or strategies that make it easier to manage
