hey whats your go to for load balancing stateless web apps

Hey everyone, I'm building a new web app and want to make sure it's completely stateless. The plan is to scale it out horizontally quite a bit. I've been researching load balancing strategies, but I'm wondering what actually works best for this setup. Are you guys going with L4 or L7 balancing, or another approach? What are the main things you think about when you choose?
