when should you think about using read replicas for your database, dont you think

hey everyone, ive been thinking about scaling our database read operations. were seeing a lot of traffic hitting our primary, and while its handling it for now, im wondering when others typically start looking into setting up read replicas. is it purely based on query load, or are there other metrics you watch? curious about your experiences and what tipped the scale for you to implement them.
