When you're looking at Redis versus Memcached for session caching, what's the real difference?

hey everyone, i'm looking into session caching for a web app and i'm torn between Redis and Memcached. Both seem like solid options, but Redis has more features like data structures and persistence. Memcached is simpler and often cited for raw speed. For session data, which typically needs to be retrieved quickly and might be lost if a node goes down temporarily, which do you think is the better choice? Has anyone run into specific issues with either for this use case? Curious to hear your thoughts.
