when should you move from SQL to NoSQL?

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about database choices lately. We've been using a relational DB for years, and it's been pretty solid, you know. But our data is growing, and how we access it is changing too. So, I'm wondering when others have actually switched to a NoSQL solution. What made you pull the trigger? Was it scaling problems, certain types of data, or maybe something else? I'm really curious to hear about your experiences and how you made the decision.
