load balancing strategies for microservices

hey everyone, been thinking about load balancing across our microservices. we're seeing increased traffic and need to make sure requests are distributed efficiently without overwhelming any single service instance. we've looked at round robin, least connections, and ip hash, but i'm curious about what strategies you all use in production? especially interested in how you handle sticky sessions if needed, and if you've run into any gotchas with specific algorithms
