dont use a message queue for everything.

hey folks, i'm trying to wrap my head around the best way to handle inter-service communication in our cloud setup. we've got a few services that need to talk to each other, and i'm debating between using a message queue like RabbitMQ or Kafka, or just having them make direct HTTP API calls. for simple requests, direct calls seem easier, but i'm wondering about scenarios where a queue might be better, especially for decoupling or handling load spikes. what are your go-to rules of thumb for deciding between these two
