when does cloud auto-scaling become overkill tho

hey everyone, been thinking about auto-scaling in cloud environments lately. we all know it's a lifesaver for handling unpredictable traffic spikes and optimizing costs. but i'm curious, are there situations where setting up complex auto-scaling rules and policies actually creates more overhead than it saves? like, if your traffic is super predictable, or if your application has very specific scaling needs that are hard to model with generic rules. when have you found auto-scaling to be more of a headache than a help
