so, how do you deal with API versioning? like, what's your strategy

hey everyone, ive been thinking a lot about API versioning lately. were about to launch a new version of our core API, and deciding on the right versioning strategy is proving trickier than i thought. should we go with URI versioning (v1/users), query parameters (?version=1), or custom headers (X-API-Version: 1)? what are the pros and cons youve seen in practice, espcially regarding backward compatibility and developer experience?
