When do you add circuit breakers to your services?

hey folks, ive been thinking a lot about service resilience lately. we're moving towards more distributed systems, and im wondering about circuit breakers. when did you find them necessary? was it a specific failure mode, a certain number of services, or just a general principle you adopted? im curious about the tipping point where the complexity of adding them was outweighed by the stability gains.
