Object storage or block storage for user uploads? What's the better pick

hey everyone im architecting a new platform that will involve a lot of user generated content images videos docs etc im trying to decide between using object storage like S3 or block storage like EBS managed disks for this object storage seems like the obvious choice for scalability and cost but im wondering if theres any scenarios where block storage might actually be a better fit for raw user file uploads what are your thoughts and experiences with this decision what factors swayed your choice in similar situations
