microservices how do you manage interservice communication complexity tho

so, i'm trying to figure out how to scale our microservices setup. as we get more and more services, it's getting tough to even know what's talking to what directly over HTTP. it's a pain to trace things, and they're all getting too tangled up. i was thinking about using a message queue or an event bus to sort of separate them out. what's your experience been with that? have you found any certain ways of doing things or tools that really help with this kind of complicated stuff in the real world
