hey all, i'm wrestling with state management in a distributed system i'm building. we've got multiple microservices that need to maintain and access shared state, but i'm trying to avoid a single point of failure or a massive bottleneck. i've looked into distributed key-value stores, but also wondered about using consensus protocols like Raft for specific critical pieces of state. what approaches have you found effective for managing shared state across services, and what were the trade-offs you encountered?
