You might want to think about a service mesh when you've got a lot of microservices.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking about microservices and all the extra work that comes with them. Stuff like service discovery, load balancing, and circuit breaking gets tricky to handle yourself. I've seen service meshes like Istio and Linkerd appear as possible fixes. When does it make sense to add a service mesh to a project, or when does it get big enough? What have you found are the good and bad things about them? Curious to hear what you all think.
