when do you know its time to ditch the monolith and go microservices

hey everyone, i'm thinking about our current application architecture. it's been a monolith for a while, and it's working fine for now. but i've seen a few pain points lately, like slower deployment cycles and difficulty scaling specific parts independently. i'm curious to hear from others who've made the jump: at what point did you decide it was time to break down your monolith? what were the key indicators or triggers that made the migration necessary or beneficial?
