when do you know it's time to ditch the monolith for microservices

Hey everyone, I'm stuck on this age-old problem. Our current big application is getting really hard to manage, and honestly, the super long build times and the hassle of coordinating deployments are really starting to get to me. I've read a lot about why microservices are good, but people also say they bring a whole new set of problems. So, what are the main signs you watch out for that tell you it's actually time to break things up, instead of just trying to make what you have work better?
