whens the right time to introduce a feature flag

hey everyone, i've been thinking about feature flags a lot lately. they seem super useful for decoupling deployment from release and for gradual rollouts. but when do you guys actually decide to implement them? is it for every new feature, only for risky ones, or something else entirely? curious to hear about your experiences and the trade-offs you consider
