so how do you guys handle database schema changes when youre live and running no one likes downtime right

We're trying to get a more formal release process going for our main app. But honestly, managing database schema changes is a real pain point. Rolling back a messed-up migration can be a nightmare. What do you guys usually do to keep downtime and risk low when updating the schema? Are you doing blue-green deployments for your database, or what?
