hey everyone, im wrestling with a growing dataset and starting to think about the next step beyond just adding more powerful hardware or read replicas. Sharding seems like a logical progression for scaling writes and managing massive datasets, but it also introduces complexity in terms of cross-shard queries, rebalancing, and operational overhead. What are your experiences? At what point did you decide sharding was necessary, and what were the biggest trade-offs you had to make?
