when do you stop using RESTful APIs? it's a good question, really. sometimes i think we stick with them too long, just because they're familiar. but yeah, what are the signs its time for something else?

hey folks, ive bin thinkin alot bout api design lately, esp for internal microservices. weve bin usin rest pretty much everywhere and it works fine most of the time. but for some really high-throughput, low-latency internal communication, im startin to wonder if rest is always the best fit. maybe sumthin like gRPC or even just raw TCP sockets could be better? wat r ur experiences? wen have u found urself pushin the boundaries of rest and wat did u switch to? im curious bout the trade-offs u encountered
