so, which message queue should you actually use, anyway?

hey everyone, i've been wrestling with message queues lately for some inter-service communication. i've looked at Kafka, RabbitMQ, and SQS. they all seem to do the job, but i'm struggling to figure out the *right* one for specific use cases. for example, when is Kafka's log-based approach a clear win over RabbitMQ's smart broker/dumb consumer model, and how does SQS fit into the picture for simpler, managed queuing? i'm curious to hear how you all decide which queue to pull off the shelf
