you might want to think about a message queue when you've got different parts of your system that need to talk to each

I've noticed message queues are showing up in tons of architectures these days, and I'm trying to figure out when they actually make sense. We've got a lot of services talking to each other, and honestly, it sometimes feels a bit too tangled. So, would a message queue be a good way to untangle things, or would it just make everything more complicated? What do you usually use message queues for, and what are the big downsides I should be aware of?
