Caching User Profiles: Redis or Memcached? Which is better for your needs?

hey folks, im working on a system that heavily relies on fetching user profile data. we're seeing a lot of repeated reads for the same profiles, so caching seems like the obvious next step. we're trying to decide between Redis and Memcached for this. Redis offers more data structures, which might be useful down the line, but Memcached is known for its simplicity and raw speed for basic key-value gets. what are your experiences with these for caching frequently accessed, but not extremely high-write, data like user profiles? any specific trade-offs you ran into?
