Cloud Concept Explanations by AI: Are We Missing Nuance for System Design?

I've been thinking about how AI models explain core cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless). They reliably hit on benefits like scalability, flexibility, and cost savings. This is undeniably useful for a quick overview. However, as system architects, our concerns often go deeper than these high-level advantages. When evaluating cloud options, we wrestle with specific trade-offs related to vendor lock-in, data sovereignty, security implications for different service models, and the operational overhead of managing underlying infrastructure versus abstracting it away. Are these AI-generated summaries sufficiently preparing junior engineers to make critical architectural decisions, or do they inadvertently simplify the complex considerations that truly impact system resilience and long-term maintainability?
