Event Sourcing versus Database Transactions. When should you pick one over the other? Let's break it down.

hey everyone, i've been chewing on how we handle state recently. we've always gone with normal ACID transactions for the main stuff, you know. but with microservices and needing to track things better, event sourcing keeps coming up. it looks good for replaying history and making different views, but wow, it’s way more complicated. when do you guys think event sourcing is actually better than just using transactions, and what are the main problems if you do? have you found any good ways to mix both
