handling distributed transactions in microservices?

Hey everyone, I've been wrestling with implementing distributed transactions across several microservices lately. Making sure things are atomic when operations span multiple services feels like a minefield. What patterns or strategies have you found work best? Are Sagas the usual way to go, or are there other options that scale better?
