when does the overhead of microservices outweigh the benefits

Hey everyone, I've been chewing on the whole microservices thing a lot recently. They've definitely helped us with scaling and let teams work more independently. But all that comes with its own headaches, right? Like how services talk to each other, tracking things across different services, and just generally having way more deployments to keep up with. So, I'm really wondering, when do you all feel like it's too much? When does the hassle and extra complexity start to outweigh the benefits, especially when you think about a solid monolith or maybe just a few bigger services instead?
