rate limiting in microservices how do you deal with that tho

Hey everyone, I'm working on a distributed system with a bunch of microservices, and we're trying to figure out the best way to do rate limiting. Should each service handle its own rate limiting, or should we set up a dedicated rate limiting service? What are the good and bad things you've seen with different ways of doing this? I'm really curious to hear what you all think and what your experiences have been.
