Infrastructure as Code: Terraform vs Pulumi vs CDK — state of the art

our team is looking to standardize our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling, and we're weighing the pros and cons of Terraform, Pulumi, and AWS CDK. Terraform's HCL is powerful but feels restrictive for complex logic. Pulumi offers real programming languages, which is appealing, but its community and ecosystem feel smaller. CDK is great for AWS, but we're trying to avoid vendor lock-in even as a single-cloud shop, thinking about future multi-cloud needs. what's the current state of the art in IaC? for those who've adopted one of these deeply, what were the unexpected challenges or benefits? is the multi-cloud narrative strong enough to push for Pulumi, or is Terraform still the pragmatic choice?
