when do you consider a service 'too chatty'?

hey evryone, ive been thinking about microservice communication patterns lately. we all aim for loosely coupled services, but sometimes i feel like were going too far the other way. ive noticed some services making many small, frequent requests to others, which feels like its increasing latency and coupling in a different way. when do you folks consider a service interaction 'too chatty' and what patterns do you use to refactor it? are there metrics you track for this
