message queues: dead letter queues for error handling?

hey everyone, im wrestling with how to best handle message processing failures in our microservices. we're using Kafka, and im thinking a Dead Letter Queue (DLQ) pattern could be the way to go for messages that repeatedly fail processing. has anyone implemented DLQs with Kafka? what challenges did you face, and what strategies did you find effective for monitoring and replaying messages from the DLQ? curious to hear your experiences!
