dont know whether to use round robin or least connections for the load balancer. any thoughts?

hey everyone im tryin to optimize our services availability and wanted to get some thoughts on load balancer algorithms were currently using basic round robin but im wondering if switching to least connections would be more beneficial our service instances can have varyin processin times for requests does anyone have experience with which performs better in a microservices environment with fluctuatin load whats your go to algorithms and why
