api caching, cache aside or write through

hey everyone, i'm trying to nail down the best caching approach for a new internal API. we're dealing with data that's read frequently but updated less often. i'm debating between the cache-aside (lazy loading) and write-through strategies. cache-aside seems simpler to implement initially, but write-through guarantees cache consistency. what are your experiences? when do you prefer one over the other, especially considering potential performance impacts and complexity
