sql or nosql for a new social media app

hey everyone, im starting to architect a new social media platform and im hitting the classic sql vs. nosql decision point. we'll have user profiles, posts, follows, and a feed. thinking about data consistency, query flexibility, and scaling. what are your thoughts on which type of database would be a better fit for this kind of application, especially in the early stages? any specific experiences or gotchas i should be aware of?
