What do you usually use for distributed tracing?

hey all, i'm setting up new services and trying to nail down our observability stack. we're leaning towards OpenTelemetry, but the sheer number of backend options (Jaeger, Tempo, Zipkin, etc.) is a bit overwhelming. what are you folks using in production and why? what are the pros and cons you've found?
