whens it time for a noSQL database?

hey everyone, im trying to get a better handle on when to move beyond relational databases. Were currently using PostgreSQL for most things, and its been solid. but i keep hearing about NoSQL options (document, key-value, graph) and wondering about the tipping point. What are the key indicators that suggest a NoSQL solution might be a better fit than sticking with SQL? Looking for real-world triggers and maybe some common pitfalls to avoid.
