API Versioning Strategy: URL Path versus Header?

hi all, i was pondering api versioning. we have a new service coming up and need to pick how we wanna do it. two common ways are putting the version right in the url, like /v1/users, or using a special header, like Accept-Version: v1. what do you all think. what works and what doesn't from your experience, especially with making sure old stuff still works and if it's easy for people using our apis to figure out
