When should you consider switching from a single-region cloud setup to a multi-region one?

hey everyone, i've been thinking a lot about scaling out our cloud infrastructure recently. we're currently single-region, and while it works fine, i'm starting to consider the benefits and complexities of going multi-region. what are your thoughts? when did you make the jump, and what were the key drivers? was it for HA, lower latency, data sovereignty, or something else? curious to hear about your experiences and any pitfalls to watch out for.
