dont you think its a good idea to think about using a service mesh when you have, like, a bunch of different services

hey everyone, i've been hearing a lot about service meshes like Istio and Linkerd lately, especially with microservices. they seem to offer a lot for managing traffic, security, and observing things. but it's not always clear when adding a service mesh, which can be complex, is actually worth it. for simpler microservice setups, are there specific signs or points that suggest it's time to look into a service mesh? or is it usually too much until you reach a certain scale or run into specific issues? i'm curious to hear about your experiences and how you decide.
