Handling tons of real-time updates across different microservices can be tricky.

we're trying to build this new system with a bunch of microservices that all need to react to changes as they happen in real time. you know, like stock tickers, live dashboards, or when people are editing something together. we're finding that just simple polling isn't cutting it anymore, and we really need to figure out some better, more scalable ways to push updates out. what patterns or technologies have you guys found work well for sending out real-time events between microservices, but without making a total mess of things? are websockets, server-sent events, or maybe something else completely the best way to go about this
