how many message queues are too many

so, we're thinking about using message queues for some async stuff, like background jobs, talking between services, and streaming data for analytics. but, i'm starting to wonder if juggling a bunch of queues, maybe even from different places or kinds, like RabbitMQ and Kafka, adds more headaches than it's worth. what have you seen when trying to scale up queue systems? is there a point where all that management just becomes too much and cancels out the good parts
