So, when's the right time to actually bring in an API Gateway?

hey folks, ive been thinkin about our microservices architecture lately. We're growin, and managing direct client-to-service communication is becomin a bit of a headache with authentication, logging, and routing. Ive seen API Gateways mentioned a lot, but when do you guys feel its the right tipping point to actually implement one? Is it when you hit a certain number of services, or when specific cross-cutting concerns become too much to handle individually? Curious to hear your experiences and thoughts on when to pull the trigger on this pattern.
